Temari Workshop

Join Liah for this half-day workshop where you will create your own Temari, created using your own unique pattern. Starting with creating your basic Temari ball, Liah will then demonstrate different winding techniques and patterns. Historically, Temari were constructed from the remnants of old kimono. Pieces of silk fabric would be wadded up to form a ball, and then the wad would be wrapped with strips of fabric. As time passed, traditional Temari became an art, with the functional stitching becoming more decorative and detailed, until the balls displayed intricate embroidery. Cancelations within 4 weeks of the event will not be refunded, however bookaclass.org will look to reschedule you onto a future bookaclass.org event. This option is at the discretion of bookaclass.org. Your Right to Cancel If you are a customer living in the United Kingdom or the European Union you have the right to cancel your contract to purchase services from us within 14 days of purchase without giving notice. The cancellation period will end 14 days from the date of purchase when you purchased a service.
