Japanese Mokuhanga Printmaking Workshop

During this exciting workshop, you will be introduced to the traditional Japanese art of woodblock printing through demonstrations by professional artist and experienced printmaker Pui Lee. You will learn the skills to transfer your design onto plywood, carve out two colour separation blocks in relief and register your multi-bock image using the traditional "kento" registration system for printing onto Japanese papers with water-based inks/paints. Widely known for its mindful and meditative process, you will be sure to discover your creative side with all the endless possibilities that mokuhanga has to offer! No experience is necessary. Your tutor is Pui Lee a British-born Hakka Chinese artist who works across both traditional and contemporary 2D and 3D art-forms. Over the years, she has also exhibited and sold work both nationally and internationally. The cancellation period will end 14 days from the date of purchase when you purchased a service.
